The Arts Society New Milton

(formerly the Decorative & Fine Arts Society)

Join The Arts Society New Milton to learn more about a wide range of art subjects with expert talks and guided visits to places of historical and artistic interest. Anyone who wishes to be inspired and riched through involvement in the Arts are welcome to join this friendly society.

Membership: £40pa – or come to a lecture £6

Venue: Memorial Hall, 2nd Thursday of the month from 10am.

The Creation Station

Award winning Creation Station offers arts and crafts activities, classes and parties for children of all ages and the odd Adult class too. Find us in the Creation Station Tent on Sunday where we’ll have fun activities for children.

Forest Arts Centre

New Milton is fortunate to be the main venue for live arts in the New Forest with this intimate venue offering theatre, music, workshops, holiday activities and exhibitions. Café/bar.

Inspired and Create

We run a selection of craft classes held by local tutors including Beading, Crochet, Knitting, Hand Quilt and Applique, Traditional Quilts, Ceramics, Folk art and Decorative painting, , Floristry, Art, Paper Crafts, Scrapbooking, Silk Painting , Home decor , Free Motion embroidery, Silver Clay, Wire work and Wet/Needle Felting for all levels.

New venue! From 1st October, we will be based at Art Sway, Station Road, Lymington

Milton Heritage Society

We collect, preserve and present the history of our Parish – including New Milton, Barton on Sea, Ashley, Bashley, Wootton & Tiptoe. Membership costs just £12pa and would contribute to the costs of reproducing images, and running the website – in return you would be invited to talks on local history

Do join us on one of our Guided Walks on Saturday. We will guide you around a walk pointing out the early history of the station road area and compare and contrast what can be seen now with photos from the past.

New Milton Library

If you thought our library was just about books, think again. We offer a host of activities including Storytime, Rhymetime; Courses and our Home Library Service. We’ll be in the Memorial Hall on Saturday between 12pm and 4pm giving children the opportunity to enjoy some of our activities so come along and find out more.

University of the Third Age (U3A)

For those no longer in full time employment, learn within a group and share the skills and knowledge you have with others.

Monthly meetings with speaker. Wide-ranging special interest groups from Appreciating Opera to Book Reading, to Afternoon Quiz and Local History.

Membership: £20 for one person for a year. Or come along to one of your monthly meetings and pay £2.
